    i. What information?

    We have in place, a series of technical and organisational measures, which are used to protect your data against loss, theft, unauthorized use and disclosure or modification. Since at the moment, we do not provide the feature of ‘creating an account’ for public users, the information we acquire is minimal. However, in order to properly function as an e-service that spreads awareness about our missions and collect donations as an NGO, our website does retain some information about you or your particular network. This information includes the following:

    a. Personal information - to create better user experience on our website, we may require users to provide us with some of their personal details including, but not limited to:

    • name,

    d. Browser information - Nowadays, various browsers have been programmed to automatically store some information about devices being operated for online surfing. For example, the device type, its manufacturer and model, name and version of its operating system, and which version of our website the device is using. All the above-mentioned data and any variant of such data is securely stored and would be accessible to our web server.     • Your user information is subject to use for facilitating social sharing functionality i.e sharing of our content and campaign promotions to only those social media accounts of yours, such as Facebook or Instagram, that you chose to voluntarily share on our website. Additionally, with the help of log data, we may anonymise and compile the data of multiple users. This is done in order to analyse the progress and/or statistics of our current marketing and targeting objectives. For example, compilation of user information, may help us gather data on a percentage of users in certain geographical areas that respond to a specific social issue the most and thus creating a target group or audience.

    • Whenever a user signs up for a TSLF representative, they voluntarily issue their contact details on our website. These details may be used by our representative to contact the user via phone calls, text messages, WhatsApp, email, or other applicable social media platforms. The reasons behind a representative contacting a user can be - reaching out regarding a specific query or complaint, subject for contacting us, booking confirmation for hosting a meal, providing updates on our ongoing missions, fundraisers, events, and/or causes that require help/donations. Applying for a representative is a voluntary decision made by the user, under the following instances, including, but not limited to - while making a donation, filing a query or feedback, applying to host a celebration, or sponsoring a meal/resident etc.

    • Your personal information may be used to notify you about promotional content or for important information regarding our services. We may do so via email, telephone, text messages, or various social media platforms.
    If you wish to cancel your subscription for a representative or any of our other services, please contact us via email, telephone, or text messages and a team member will get back to you at the earliest.

    iii. Who can access it?

    • All the information you give out on our website, such as, details about hosting an event, meal, or celebration, or inquiring, giving feedback, connecting with us on social media, or while donating, calling, mailing, or messaging us etc. has all been issued to us on your own informed accord. Such informational data is stored in The Save Life Foundation Charitable Trust web servers and will be accessible by our team members.

    • We will not, under any circumstances, share or sell your personal information with any third party for any reason and we will not intentionally misuse your information or cause any harm to your privacy and personal wellbeing. Additionally, we do not and cannot, monitor, verify, or perform any background check on any of your personal information on our website.     • If you contribute to a campaign started or hosted by our organisation (The Save Life Foundation Charitable Trust) in association with any other NGO(s) or organisation(s), on the particular campaign, fundraiser, or event webpage, you will be presented with an additional option of sharing your email address with the NGO or organisation(s) we are associating with, to receive direct email updates about them from their team (not via our platform). Should you choose to provide your consent for such sharing, it must be acknowledged and agreed upon by you that such organisations are not in no way affiliated with the policies of The Save Life Foundation Charitable Trust. Enabling our users to interact directly with organisations, under their official consent, is part of our goal of helping people to stay informed on the causes that matter to them.

    We seek to use reasonable organisational, technical, and administrative measures to protect your personal information within our organisation from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure, alteration and/or destruction. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can give a 100% securing guarantee.

    We will retain your Personal Information for as long as needed or permitted in light of the purposes for which it was obtained. - The criteria used to determine our retention periods includes the timespan we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide our services to you, our legal obligations or whether retention is advisable in light of our legal position (such as in regard to applicable statutes of limitations, litigation, or regulatory investigations)

    vi. Refund policy

    Donations once made, cannot be refunded by us since they’re immediately put towards work for our residents and various initiatives. However, in cases of online donations undergoing some technical issues. For example: Your amount being deducted, but you are not provided with a confirmation link or an incorrect amount being entered from your end. In such cases, we request you to contact us and our team will try and resolve the issue in the best and quickest way possible. You may have to send us a formal request, along with your donation receipt (if provided) and proof of deduction of the donation amount. You can send us the information mentioned above via post to our office address or as an email to [email protected]. All, if any, donation refunds will only be made under the name of the person who has donated.

    Please note, if your tax exemption certificate has already been issued, we will not be able to process your refund request, unless an error has been made on our part.
